Pensiunea Plai Cu Peri

The peension is really nice and cozy. I enjoyed the food and tge services. We had a suite with two king sized beds and two one person beds (in the wall, the entrance is pear-shaped). The only downside is the AC. There is no AC. The heat is unbearable reaching 37-38° C. I would also recomend adding some kind of privacy to the bathroom door.

Traditional experience, delicious food, silence, very nice owner. We had some issues with the heat. All day and also by night there wasn't any heat. Outside the temperature was on minus. Also it took a lot of Time for our food to be readu.

Amazing host, a lady from Ukraine that cooked for us and spent time chatting, very warm welcome. Good dinner, and the location is amazing - just around the monastery. Tranquil place, quiet and peaceful. Make sure you stay there when visiting Sapanta!!

It was very warm welcome despite the fact that we even didn’t have reservation and arrived at 22. Clean rooms, beautifully decorated, delicious pancakes, coffee.

I had the pleasure of staying at Plai cu peri in Sapanta, Maramures and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with tasteful decor and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed the large windows that let in plenty of natural light and provided stunning views of the mountains. The staff at Plai cu peri were friendly and accommodating, always available to assist with any requests or questions. The hotel's restaurant served delicious traditional Romanian cuisine that was both tasty and affordable. One of the highlights of my stay was the nearby attractions, including the Merry Cemetery of Sapanta, the Wooden Churches of Maramures, and the Sighet Memorial Museum. The hotel was conveniently located to explore these sites and the staff were more than happy to provide information and arrange transportation. Overall, my stay at Plai cu peri was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapanta, Maramures. The combination of beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and excellent service make for a truly unforgettable stay.

Rustic place! Autentic traditional building, very nice staff and wonderful food! Place near a little forest far away from the road so if you look to stay in Romanian traditional and wonderful place in Spanta you need to stop at least for the food if not to spent couple of nights!

Pensiunea Plaiul cu Peri The guest house is at a very high standard, 4 stars. Wooden construction in a semi circular shape and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly. The room is huge with very wide bed and with a nice cozy feeling about it. The restaurant is very good, with tasty dishes, including some Ukrainian ones, reasonable prices. The breakfast is very rich and high quality products. We got also a gift upon departure, unexpected. The overall price was fine for the service and comfort. We had 2 issues with the payment. Firstly, we had booked 7 months in advance and the contracted price was including breakfast, for which I had confirmation, but we were asked to pay separately for it. It was not possible to stay and clarify since we were in a hurry and the manager was not there, we just paid since it was only 15 ron and the service was great. The second part was that we did not get a fiscal receipt for dinner and accommodation , just the pos ticket, despite asking for it. The access road is not in a good shape after rain and anyway very hard to manage when there is a car coming from opposite side.

We have a saying in Poland: it's so beautiful you can go crazy! If I could choose a place to live - this place would be my choice. Calm, clean, surrounded by nature, with great host.
